I enjoyed working with these luscious colours. I used my own cream beads for the base of the necklace, twisting spiral rope along one side envisioning the mist rising from the mossy earth. Beads draped randomly from the central part of the necklace with leaves and flowers enhancing the offset beaded flower. Coordinating earrings completed the soft look of Moss and Mist.

I Love the colours in this kit. I started out with visions of a necklace, but ended up doing something compleatly different. I've never attempted a peyote stitch before, and as you can see, I've got a lot of practice ahead of me! Next time I'll use bigger beads. Thanks for the fun.

In addition to the beads provided in the challenge kit I used some additional glass trumpet flower beads and crystal donuts. A rose gold dragonfly clasp was added as well. The flowers are stung on beading wire and brought together to form a floral pendant with the hummingbird charm flying amongst the flowers.

I used all of the beads provided in the challenge kit and added a lampwork bead I had been waiting to use. It was the perfect match for the colours provided within the challenge kit. Sterling bead cones and clasp were added. Bead caps and fancy headpins were added to the glass beads to finish off the earrings.

Design by: Kathy S. using CreativeFX - Inspirational Colour Challenge Bead Kit - Welcome to Jamaica
Hi, this is my submission for your inspirational bead fx colour
xchallenge kit welcome to jamaica.
I used most of the beads you sent me in my kit plus I
also used Findings - Separator/Connector - 3 Hole Long
Rectangle with Dimple Separator - Bright Silvertone and I
glued blue rhinestones to them.
I used 2mm blue
seedbeads from my own beads to contrast with the 2mm brown seedbeads
that were provided. I used the bigger beads to make a distinctive
looking pattern in the middle of my choker that reminded me of how one
would picture the waves and water in jamaica, aqua a tinge of white
blue and smokey and also the light blue of the ocean. the ends reminded
me of water and sand so I made one row of aqua seedbeads and used the
4mm royal blue in 3s. in the middle strand i used the brown to
represent the sand with the similar pattern of 3 royal blue smaller
beads and then the third row is the same as the
first.

This is my vision of the garden at the Tuscan Villa. I created the bracelet in freeform peyote with brick stitch to enhance the flowers using many of the various seed beads, crystals, glass beads and metal leaves. I used the large golden leaf for the button clasp attached with seed beads to match the loop. I strung the stick pearls with other beads to fashion a matching necklace, finished off with a dulled copper chain and antiqued clasp. Loops of chain and stringed seed beads with a crystal completed the earrings.

The main necklace is done in spiral rope using the delica beads, size 11 pink seed beads and the bronze and copper-lined size 8 seed beads. The 'pendant' are a random mixture of the other beads strung onto ring-size memory wire. One of the Preciosa crystals are used to finish off the extender chain. In all, I've used at least one of each bead supplied in the kit.

Martinis at Midnight was an exciting Creative Challenge. Spiral Rope is the base of the necklace with violet triangles of midnight and greys of the clouds past the moon. The smokey black pendant hung with purple chained crystals drops from the large silver pearls, violet dusted chips and dark amethyst glass and silver beads. Silver loops join the two mediums and a hammered silver clasp closes the necklace. The earrings, small matching pendants adorned with purple crystal, and a silver pearl ring complete the set.

My new found beading passion is freeform peyote. This wonderful mix of Burnished Gold adapted perfectly to the necklace and the large flat bead was the inspiration for a beaded clasp over the shoulder and not the usual centre back! I just had to make earrings featuring the lime crystals, my favourite colour, and the garnet crystals, for my birthstone!

This necklace was a big experiment for me. It's my first necklace on cord with a deliberate stringy embellishment. I focused on asymmetry and flexibility. This is two necklaces in one. The strings can be untied for a simpler necklace (just the wood beads and the fire agate) and the length of the necklace can be adjusted with the extender (with the chocolate brown leaves) at the back of the neck.

I am intrigued by the results of this experimental lariat-style wire and bead work bracelet. A single strand of RAW is adorable for a little girl's bracelet but somehow I couldn't picture wearing it myself. Here with the doubled up strand of it made with a variety of colours and a creative clasp, it's much more likely!

Here is "October Wine". On an Ultrasuede base, this bracelet is an exploration of motif, texture and fringe, little of which I had done before. I especially enjoyed creating the "scales", and found that the fringe didn't turn out to be as soft and flexible as I thought it should be, even when using Nymo thread.

This is my first attempt at this. It's interesting to work with a
preset selection. I love the way the earrings hang in a spiral. The
stitching for the necklace took a while, but was fun. It's nice to have
no peyote-offset.

Design by: Stacy P using CreativeFX - Inspirational Colour Challenge Bead Kit - Darjeeling Sunset
This kit offered lots of challenges which I understand is the point.
My first problem was the focal turquoise bead. Gosh darn it is a LARGE
piece of stone! Anything I was coming up with just would not accomadate
a stone of that size! So it got set aside for a project that will call
out its name...
Then the bead weaving I started just wouldn't
cooperate... Attempt #1 just would speak to me, it just just a little
to plain. Attempt #2 was just too... wrong, too box-ish, too regular,
just wrong. Oh well...
The final result I am very pleased with 3
crocheted strands woven with 3 strand of seed bead. Kind of simple if
you think about it, but it just looks/feels right! Hope it pleases you
as well!

I must say I love your colour challenges! For every one, I seem to find a new idea. I can't wait for the next kits!
For
this one, I created a herringbone tube. Then I had to find a way to
incorporate the other beads from the kit. I used head pins! It
gave abit of a 'fan' effect, plus I don't have to worry about the
weight of the beads snapping or stretching the thread! Before inserting
the headpins, I ran a length of beadwire through the tube. Once again,
so I didn't have to worry about my hours of weaving breaking. As a
bonus, it also makes finishing off the necklace a breeze!

Eyes of the Storms
My necklace is titled "Eyes of the Storms" and features a Swarovski AB square button as the closure and 4 drops complimenting the back of the necklace; consisting of seedbeads, clear quartz and ice lance leaves. The main neacklace is beaded symmetrically representing "eyes" of furious storms, forged by the Gods of wind, rain, thunder and lightening, and beaded using an extravaganza of beads. The asymmetrical strand of beads rockets around the "eyes", forming the intensity of the intertwined and complimentary cool colors, just like the power of unleashed wind. The front of the necklace swoops down to a two level focal point enhanced by the power of Swarovski bicones, briolettes, fire polished beads and quartz chips; a beautiful Swarovski Snowflake dances, alone, at the end of the drop, held steadily in place by white opals drops and bicones. There, this delicate but strong Snowflake captures any bits of faint light, glistening in it's raw beauty, in the eye of the storm.
