What is gold-filled? Gold-filled is a layer of karat gold bonded to
a metal core (often brass). Gold-filled has more gold than gold plate
and is usually more resistant to wearing and discolouring. Gold-plated
is a very thin layer of gold (and we keep it here, as it is usually plated over base metals ). Vermeil is gold over sterling silver. Gold-plated Softflex™ for stringing your beads is here. Looking for Karat gold findings? We may be able to special order, but be prepared for the sticker shock!

Twisted Tornado™ Crimps
| Easy to use, no crimp plier required. Just use your chain nose or flat nose pliers. Cut the tip of your stringing wire on an angle for easier threading. Thread the stringing wire (up to .019 - for .024, get the larger size) - through the crimp, form a loop, and pass back through the crimp. Make sure the stringing wire is seated side by side within the crimp, and then press down firmly on the crimp with your pliers. Turn the crimp over and press firmly again. Attractive and strong. The twist throughout the crimp allows it to secure your stringing wire securely. |
