Includes o-ring to prevent crushing and breaking bead. The screw post is 2.25 mm wide and about 6.5 mm long at most (removing the rubber ring and attaching the metal cap by a few threads - but you don't want to do that). The base of the metal cap is about 5.6 mm wide. So the hole on a bead being used will need to be between about 2.3 mm and 5.5 mm wide in theory. In reality - 3 - 4.5 mm. We suggest a drop of glue on the screw top to prevent it unscrewing and coming off while clapping enthusiastically at a concert.
