There are two priniciple types of Jade: Nephrite Jade and Jadeite. Jadeite is slightly harder, and somewhat less common.
New Jade and New Burma Jade is a trade name for Serpentine, a translucent and handsome stone. We've put them here to make them easier to find.
Aventurine is a type of quartz, but because of it's handsome green colour, it is often confused for jade as well.
