Amazonite

Amazonite - a soft green or blue-green stone - is relatively new to the stone-bead world. Its soft colour is very attractive.

However, it is not a strong stone and can scratch or break if abused.

While it is named for the Amazon River, it actually comes from Russia, Colorado, Peru and Madagascar.
