Round Leather Cord

Leather cord - string on it, knot it, braid it. Nice to use for a single pendant, has a nice casual look. Works with crystals too, because it creates a contrast from the blingy crystals to the supple and natural leather.

Leather cord is, by it's nature - which is to say that it is make from organic materials, somewhat variable. In addition to being affected by dyes and handling, rough spots in the hide, etc., it can also be affected by local humidity, heat, etc. This is to say that the cord itself can be thicker or thinner in places, or even the entire spool can be slightly different from the last one or the next.

One of our suppliers has this to say: "There is an industry tolerance of +/- 0.3mm when manufacturing leather cording. This would mean that a 1mm cord can be as large as 1.3mm or as small as 0.7mm." (Note - we usually reclassify it if it is that much off.)

Please store your leather away from heat that can dry it and crack it, and away from moisture which can foster mildew.
