A new way to inspire you!

When Jen wrote about the "colour puddle" team - where someone else picks the colours and then you get to use the beads however you wish, it seemed like such a good idea and such a fun way to really get inspired and stretch the imagination - that we thought we'd do it so that you can play too.

So we have set up the CreativeFX Colour Challenge. Each month there will be two or three new kits - made up of coordinated beads. Each kit will be lovingly designed and hand-picked by one of our talented designers. These are colour-coordinated sets of beads of various types, sizes, styles.

We will pre-pick these in a limited number - when they are sold out - they are sold out! You have 45 days (from when we post the new kits) to make something with your set of beads,  and then send us a picture, and we will post it in our gallery, and enter it in our colour challenge draw. The winner (chosen at random) each month will receive a $25 gift certificate to spend at beadFX (in store or online) however you please.

After the contest ends - you can still send us your pictures and we will be happy to put them in the gallery, but they will no longer be eligible for the draw. (But don't dispair - there's still a way to win - read on!)

You can use all or some of the beads in the kit - you can add your own, using other beads, findings, etc, from your private stash, from us or even from <gasp> other vendors!

Check out the sample above by Maureen - she used most of the beads, but had lots of left over seedbeads, and used a clasp and thread from her stash! The types of beads will vary depending on the taste and whim of the designer - they might have seedbeads or firepolish or metal beads or stone or Swarovski or all of the above! You will be getting lots of variety for your money, and a change to play with some beads that you might not have otherwise discovered!

We will be adding new kit(s) with new colour-ways once a month! Every month, a new challenge. At the end of the year - we will hold a People's Choice contest from all the entrants (including the too-late-to-qualify - told you there was still a way to win!) with a grand prize of a $100 gift certificate!
