True colour lighting. Natural colours indoors. Need we say more? Ok, we will anyway!

OTT-LITE® TrueColor™ lighting is specially formulated to simulate natural daylight – the best light for seeing details clearly and colors accurately. The energy-efficient, bulbs are rated to last an average of 10,000 hours, nearly 12 times longer than ordinary bulbs. (We're all hooked on them here - we use them in the class room, we haul them with us to shows and even when we take classes, we schlep along our own lighting systems.) Once you try them, you will never go back. (I personally have one here that I bought over 5 years ago and it's still going strong.) Low heat (still warm enough to iron your thread, however).

The Ott-lite website claims that you will be able to "paint like Rembrandt, and make perfect quilts." We know from experience that if you don't know how to make a quilt or paint at all — that these probably won't get you there alone. ;-) However, when it comes to beading and jewelry-making, being able to see does makes a huge difference, and being able to see the colours accurately makes a huge difference in designing and choosing colours, and in your confidence in your choices.

You may see less expensive versions - significantly less expensive - available at local discount stores or on home shopping channels. Please note - these are the "Vision Saver" lights, not "True Colour." They are good too - but not the same as the "True Colour" which is designed to let you see better and see colours accurately.

Please NOTE: We have limited floor space, and for some of the larger items here, we have limited inventory in-store. For online orders, we will have them drop-shipped, which means that:

• you order it,
• we phone the manufacturer, and
• they mail it to you directly.

This means that it gets to you faster than if they shipped it to us, and we then repackaged it and shipped it to you. Cheaper, too.

However, if you have seen it on-line, and want to come by the store and see it in person, and maybe pick it up and take it home, it is a good idea to give us a quick call and make sure that someone didn't do that very same thing yesterday and we have only the floor model left. <grin>

Our Online Pricing includes a $5.00 shipping surcharge (because of the bulk, fragility and weight). This will NOT be charged on instore purchases. Purchases made online and arranged for pick up will have this charge reversed.
