Rose Montees

A Rose Montee is a rhinestone that comes pre-mounted in a metal cup - with holes in it. Traditionally these were for sewing onto clothing, like wedding dresses, costumes, figure skating outfits, carnival costurms, what have you. Tthese days - some crazy innovative people have also been working them into bead weaving designs, bracelets and more! Call us crazy too - but if it has a hole through it - it's fair game. The rhinestones are prong set (not glued - the mechanical nature of the prong is more secure than glue). The cup or base is metal - so do not use with Nymo or easily cut thread - use wire or beading wire/cable (i.e. Softflex) instead.

A Rose Montee comes pre-mounted in a metal cup - with holes in it. This is a flat style, and there is a x shaped channel in the back for stitching it on securely. However, you can also use these in jewellery stringing projects. Try a double strand of stringing cable, with a few seed beads between each rose montee. SS16 stones. 4mm By the pack of 36.
