Dolomite

Dolomite - from Mexico - makes up approximately 2% of the earth's crust. Ancient tropical seas were the best sources for Dolomite formation. It takes its name from the French mineralogist and geologist that first formally described it: Deodat de Dolomieu.

Metaphysically - it a gentle stone that encourages charitable actions, generosity and giving of all kinds, as well as receiving.

It is a soft stone - with a hardness of 3.5, and has a soft, subtle shine. It may scratch if it gets a lot of hard wear, i.e. a typist's bracelet!
