Stone Beads — Fossilized Coral

I first saw this available as a bead in a store in New York a few years ago - I was stopped flat in my tracks by the wonderful patterns in it. Some beads have been treated to add colour and a high gloss - some of these have a slight odor - we note this in the description. While the odor lessens with time (store with some baking soda) - we know that some of our customers are extremely environmentally sensitive and suggest that you pass on these fascinating stones with regret.

We try to choose consistent stock, but the nature of natural stones is that there will be inconsistency between strands and between individual beads.

Beautifully creamy coral patterns. Unfortunately, these have been coated with something to give a gloss to the beads that they do not naturally have, and they now have a slight chemical smell. If you have allergies or are environmentally sensitive,do not buy these beads. The smell may pass off, it has gotten much fainter, but we thought you should know. Coated. 12mm x 16mm x 5mm Hole is lengthwise. Approx. 25 beads on 16 inch strand. (strand)
