Vintage Swarovski* and Other Vintage Beads and Stones

We occasionally acquire some vintage beads. Needless to say, these are in very limited quantities, and when they are gone, they are truly gone and you will have missed out. ;-)

Pagoda Beads by Swarovski

Also known as "potato-chip beads" or Article 5107 — these were produced by Swarovski for a very limited time. They were not economical to produce, as there was a lot of spoilage in the production process. Occasionally, we score some that have been in storage. We get them in their original packages. (Vitrail | Comet Or )

They were made with the holes either on the front (called a "Left" bead - see photo) or the back (foiled-side) (called a "Right" bead). When you string a "Right" and a "Left" together, they overlap and make a solid row of crystal. Sometimes, we even get the same colour in the same size in the left and right!

*In 2008, Swarovski re-branded their components as "CRYSTALLIZED," but, as these are vintage, they are still Swarovski.

Swarovski Vintage Rhinestones - 11 mm Round Pointed Back Foiled Rhinestone - Jet Scarabee (1)
A simple faceted stone. This is the long out of production, rare and almost never seen Jais Scarabee, or Jet Scarabee. Jet - with an iridescent coating on the top side that pretty much makes them the colour of whatever is around them. These are OLD - check out the packaging! Scarabee is a coating that will NEVER be made again - the environmental laws of today would never permit it to be made these days. 11mm x 11mm x 7mm By the each.
