Michael David Sturlin's 40 year career as a studio jewelry artist, educator, industry consultant and award winning goldsmith includes recognition from the World Gold Council, the American Jewelry Design Council, and the Jewelers of America's JA NY New Designer Gallery. Michael's internationally acclaimed jewelry focusing on minimalism in precious metal  has been published in 75 magazine articles and is featured in the books MASTERS:GOLD and Crocheted Wire Jewelry.

Faculty member of the Revere Academy of Jewelry Arts, and a popular visiting guest artist and conference presenter, Michael devotes his time to sharing his expertise and insight with students at every level from beginners to accomplished professionals.

DIANE FITZGERALD

Patterns, design and color fascinate Diane and for her beads are the perfect medium to express this fascination. Since 1989, Diane has taught a wide range of bead classes across the U.S. and internationally including South Africa, Germany, England and Japan. All of this comes together for her in writing about beads. She is the author of ten books, including her most recent book, “Shaped Beadwork” and has written numerous magazine articles. Diane is the 2008 recipient of the Bead & Button Show "Excellence in Bead Artistry Award" and her Gingko Leaf Necklace was awarded "Best Use of Color.

Instructor Bio : Marcia's love for beautiful jewelry and the desire to create her own designs brought Marcia to beads in the early 1990's. Marcia designs colorful and fun to wear jewelry and shares her designs through teaching and writing. Remembering her own early attempts, Marcia recognizes that everyone learns differently and so takes great care to provide clear, concise and comprehensive instructions, graphics and text.

Her work has been published Carol Wilcox Wells’s The Art and Elegance of Bead Weaving and Margie Deeb’s The Beaders Color Pallette. In 2008 her work was featured in Masters Beadweaving and her urchin lariat graces the cover. In 2009 her own book 'Marcia DeCoster's Beaded Opulence' was published by Lark. Marcia is one of the featured 'Designers of the Year' in Beadwork magazine.
