Want to expand your skills in metal clay? Come and join us for an intensive weekend of all things metal clay. Learn several ways to create stunning rings, including prong set rings, textured band rings, and an interchangable wrap ring. We will also explore 3D forms, and ways to incorporate colour, and photos into your silver clay creations.Throughout the class we'll incorporate fine silver wire into your designs, and learn the fundamentals of fusing fine silver wire. The small class size, combined with two instructors will allow you plenty of opportunity for one on one instruction and assistance.
Instructor: Heather is a creative soul whose artistic interests range from painting, sketching, sculpting, pottery, jewellery making and much more. Her interest in art began in early childhood where she won her first art competition at age 9. Recently she has been avidly involved with pottery and ceramics and is a member of the Cedar Ridge Studio Gallery. The passion of molding and shaping clay led to her discovery of Art Clay Silver and it has become her obsession. She has over eight years experience teaching adults a variety of skills and she is now a Certified Art Clay Instructor. She loves to teach and is constantly educating herself and exploring the range of her medium. She has a studio and is selling ready made and cusom made jewellery. She lives in Toronto with her family and looks forward to teaching you to make your own unique pure silver jewellery. Instructor: Jennifer was born in Toronto, Canada, and has made jewellery since the age of 16. She discovered lampwork/flamework techniques in 1999, and by the end of that same year, established a small studio in her own home. By the end of the following year she had gone further to establish the first beadmaking lampwork studio, open to the general public, in all of Canada. Jennifer has always had an intense passion for her art, combined with a keen and focused vision to bring the elements to reality. She is now excited about the possibilities of combining metal clay with lampwork beads. Jennifer has been a Certified Art Clay Instructor for over 6 years.
