Course Outline This course will give you the skills to go beyond the Chinese button knot design. Learn the techniques for the classic style necklace, which can easily be incorporated into your own more complex Chinese knotting projects. The skills will be taught as part of a bracelet project, but are equally applicable to necklace construction. New Skills:
Skill Level: Intermediate Prerequisite: Participants need to be able to tie a double and a single button knot. Snake or Phoenix knot knowledge is useful, but not essential for this course. Price: $40 (+HST), payment in advance required Supplies: $15 (+ tax) Includes practice cords, written illustrated instructions and materials to complete the bracelet skills project. Necklace kits and cords will also be available for purchase. Need to Bring: Enthusiasm! Instructor Bio: Angela studied Chinese knotting while living in Hong Kong for 8 years. In that energized environment, surrounded by exceptional knotted art she found her passion and saw the endless for possibilities for weaving traditional fiber and stone into bold contemporary jewelry. Angela has recently relocated to Toronto from Mexico where she showed in both local and state shows.
