Course Outline

After learning some basic theory and techniques in the previous lessons, students will move on to an intermediate level project - a blown glass ornament suitable for hanging in the window or on the Christmas tree. A fundamental and basic understanding of borosilicate glass gained through the previous weeks lessons will allow students to succeed in this final session of this years Christmas-themed series of 'Intro to Boro' classes. Skills and lessons covered previously will provide the knowledge needed to complete this final project in time for the beginning of the holiday season. From the introductory methods of shaping and manipulating glass to more advanced methods like blowing into the glass, students will learn step by step how to create a piece from start to finish.

Keith loves to constantly push the envelope by progressing his style, technique and form. He loves taking himself to the limits and always striving to attain perfection and balance in all of his glass art. With a strong background in functional glass, Keith has been steadily progressing more and more into the world of jewellery, vessels, ornaments and sculpture.
