Coiling Gizmo Techniques

Course Outline:

Are you looking for new, fanciful ways to work with wire? Do you have a Coiling Gizmo that’s just sitting there? Or do want to buy one and are a bit skeptical? Well this is the class for you!!!

In this class, you’ll learn how to make coiled beads. Students will also attempt to finish a necklace or bracelet using their coiled beads, and a variety of other beads.

Focus Technique: Wire Work Using the Coiling Gizmo

Skill Level: Beginner to all levels

Price: $30 (+HST), payment in advance required.

Supplies: Are not included in the class fee. Students should bring their own supplies. See supply list below.

Supply List

- Coiling Gizmo
- 24 gauge Artistic Wire (colour of your choice)
- Beading wire of your choice
- Assorted glass beads
- Clasps and crimps
- 6/0 or 8/0 seed beads in two different colours

The above items may be purchased in the store prior to class or students may bring in their own. Students receive a 15% discount on the day of the class.

Instructor Bio:

Rae Huggins has been designing and making jewellery for over 10 years. She is a member of the Toronto Bead Society and has taught at the society’s technique nights, at Bead Junction and at the Canadian Bead Oasis Show in Toronto. You can find Rae at Beadfx on weekends.
