Coils, Soup and a Stone

Course Outline: Come on over to Beadfx and choose your favourite bead soup. We’ll stir the pot and turn that soup into a necklace with linked double coiled beads and finish it off with a semiprecious stone and chain of your choice.

Skill Level: Beginner to all levels

Focus Technique: Wire Work Using the Coiling Gizmo

Price: $30 (+HST), payment in advance required.

Kit Fee: No Kit fee. Students should bring their own beads from home. Supplies can also be purchased from beadFX on the day of the class. See supply list below.

• Coiling Gizmo
• 24 gauge Artistic Wire ( colour of  your choice)
• 20 gauge Artistic wire ( colour of your choice)
• Approximately 10” (24.4cm)  chain of your choice
• *An Aunty Gwen’s bead soup (or bead mix of your choice)
• Assorted glass beads
• Matching semiprecious stone
• Clasp

Instructor Bio:

Rae Huggins has been designing and making jewellery for over 10 years. She is a member of the Toronto Bead Society and has taught at the society’s technique nights, at Bead Junction and at the Canadian Bead Oasis Show in Toronto. You can find Rae at Beadfx on weekends.
