The course will focus on cutting, filing, piercing, soldering and polishing using a variety of hand and rotary tools as well as a jeweler’s torch. Instructor Bio:

Suzanne Crudden found artistic expression and design intuitive from an early age. Now as an emerging designer in Toronto,
Suzanne is enjoying focusing her passion for the imagination in unique yet timeless jewellery.

Inspired by the exhilaration that ideas bring and the creative process that forms them in reality, Suzanne hesitates to limit
herself with boundaries. Influenced by her love of history, Suzanne’s work embodies classical elegance with a contemporary twist. She also enjoys letting a design take it’s shape naturally often resulting in organic and even literal shapes. Suzanne creates wearable pieces and custom designs using precious metals and gemstones. Her eclectic repertoire is an exciting addition to Toronto’s design community.

Suzanne’s academic journey began with degrees in Anthropology and Fine Art from the University of Toronto. In pursuit of combining history and art she enrolled in the George Brown Jewellery Program graduating in 2006. In April 2007 Suzanne opened Flux + Form Jewellery Studio & Boutique with fellow designer and friend Kim Drosdick. Together they specialize in providing their clients with hand-made and custom designed pieces as well as accommodating almost any jewellery-related request imaginable!
