Sparkle Stars

Course outline: This sparkling ornament, or pendant, takes the basics of the geometric stars and fires them up a notch with the addition of bicone crystals in the centre to make a reversible, dazzling star.

Skill level: Intermediate

Prerequisite: Must be comfortable with peyote stitch

Technique: Tubular peyote

Small Sparkle Star:

  • Approx. 1g size 15 seed beads
  • Approx. 6g size 11 Delica beads

Large Sparkle Star:

  • Approx. 2g size 11 seed beads
  • Approx. 16g size 10 Delica beads

  • Needles and thread of choice
  • 10 -12 x 4mm bicones (half in each of two different colours if you want it reversible)
  • Extra Delicas and crystals for fringing and hanging strap if desired
