Sticks and Stones Bracelet

Course outline: This elegant and reversible bracelet combines Cubic Right-Angle Weave components and a mix of beads to create a versatile bracelet with many possibilities. Ideal for anyone who has never beaded CRAW before, the class includes detailed instructions on the stitch along with both a chevron and curved version of the bracelet. Using beading elastic as its base the finished piece requires no clasp and makes it ideal for different sizes and wearers.

Prerequisite: Seed beading experience, no CRAW expperience required

To make a bracelet that fits an 19cm/ 7 ½ inch wrist:

  • Enough 1mm beading elastic to go around your wrist 3 times
  • Beading thread and needle of choice
  • 30g size 11 seed beads
  • Approximately 512 x 2mm pearls or similar (split in half if you want it to be reversible)
  • 5g size 15 seed beads If making a curved version (shown in centre of the above photo)

Jean Power is an award-winning jewellery designer, writer and teacher based in London, England. She first began making jewellery in 2001, having already spent many years painting as well as exploring different aspects of fibre and textile arts.
