Course outline: This Cleopatra-style collar necklace will look stunning with any outfit you wear this fall. Make a statement and show off your metalworking skills with this unique design, created to celebrate my favourite season. Students will employ several techniques to create this necklace: the copper wire frame is shaped using the arc-maker on the Now That’s a Jig!; then it is soldered and re-shaped; the leaves are foldformed then soldered to the frame; then the pressed glass leaves and semi-precious beads are wire wrapped throughout the piece to finish it off and add visual texture and depth.
