Intermediate Art Clay Silver

Instructor: Jenn Jevons

Course outline: Are you ready to move beyond metal clay basics and add depth and dimension to your work? During this workshop, I will show you how to layer metal clay and how to create durable, strong attachments. We will explore simple shaping techniques, and I will show you how I make my own custom forms. I’ve also included a popular stone setting demonstration to give your projects extra pop! On day two, we will be devoting time to polishing and finishing and applying patina, and I will share the variety of methods I use to finish my work. Three projects will be demonstrated: a hollow bead, a pair of earrings with a cubic stone, and a pendant with a constructed bail. This workshop is process and technique driven. You will have time to create at your own pace with help and support available as needed. Make all three projects, or focus time on your favorite design.

All materials, tools and equipment will be provided. The cost of a tool kit (specific to the projects) is included in the workshop fee. Art Clay Silver is not included, but will be available for purchase at BeadFX. For more information, please visit
