I'm Not Bad - I'm Just Drawn that Way

My favourite line from "Who Framed Roger Rabbit" - and here she is - Jessica Rabbit, or a reasonable facsimile thereof! We have a rather striking selection of new Cloisonne enamelled beads this week - big, focal beads. And some with a quite modern feel to them!

 

Cinnabar

Cinnabar, heavily carved, adds lots of texture. Lightweight, so it doesn't add weight, if you like to go big or go home! Looks great with turquoise, by the way!

 

Cubic Zirconia

More of our sparkling faceted cubic zirconia gem shapes with holes drilled - so that you can string them.

 

Boulder Opal

Just a couple of Boulder Opal Cabochons and a handful of beads - but for the Opalaholics - well - there is no 12-step program for you! This is opal in the matrix, small pieces, still embedded in the stone it was born in. Makes for a larger, showier, and more interesting stone.

 

Sterling Clasps

Some great new sterling clasps. Check out this two strand dragonfly, or how about these with reproduction-vintage buttons mounted in them?

 

 

Art Clay Back in Stock

Yay! The Art Clay Silver is back in stock. That's the good news. The bad news is that they raised the prices, and so, unfortunately, must we. :-(

It was time to clean up the bottom of the update bin, so there's some odds and ends this week. This 18 inch sterling ball chain, complements our existing 16 inch size. These bright copper crimp tubes go with our other bright copper beads and findings. Save the antique copper crimps for the antique copper beads! Look for the new! tags!

Classy News - update on classes, events and more.

If you're going to be in town this weekend, or planning on coming to Toronto. Please stop by the store on Saturday for our Beadmakers Trunkshow. The show runs from 10am to 5pm in the store. We'll have lots of yummy goodies and refreshments available throughout the day.

One huge highlight of the day is the beadmaking demo's. Our studio is always a popular spot during these shows (we also keep the treats in there!). Throughout the day, a number of beadmakers will be showing you how they create their tiny works of art in glass. Have you ever wondered just how they get those tiny little flowers in there? Feel free to spend as long as you want watching, and asking questions. If you're really keen, you can even sign up for one of our beadmaking classes.

The following glass beadmakers will have tables of their beads for sale. This is your chance to pick up some fabulous one of a kind beads! Our beadmakers will be have tables throughout the store, and the classroom is taken over completely.
