Wood Chuck day at beadFX?

February 2nd was Wood Chuck Day - the day that the Wood Chuck comes out from his studio to chuck wood - bringing us the eternal question, "How much wood would a Wood Chuck chuck if a Wood Chuck would chuck wood?" If he hits anyone with the wood - we know it will be six more months of winter, but as Tuesday was cloudy, we know we can expect an early spring - maybe in only five months.

What - I've got it all wrong? Oh dear.

Well - never mind - because we have some wood beads, and some - well - I'm calling them "Tropical Palm Resin Beads." Light as air - these fascinating beads are made in the Philippines from natural fibres, like palm leaves and trunks - encased in a crystal clear resin.

Stone of the Month

February's stone of the month is Red Creek Jasper. Is there a real Red Creek? Don't know, but I have seen this stone around for many years - and always been impressed with the silky-smoothness of it.

Red Creek Jasper actually comes from Africa. It has a wide variety of colours, shades of butter, caramel, mustard, olive, sage, cream and cooked lobster - with delicate tracings of licorice and butterscotch.

Metaphysically - Red Creek Jasper is believed to bring balance and relaxation, and is the stone of protection and grounding, like all jaspers.

Wire Lace

We've expanded our line up of Wire Lace, again, and this time, we added a medium size - 2.5 mm ribbon!
