When I talk about Jewelery Trends for 2018, I really must say, let the bling begin!
I’m not particularly fashion forward, but I do like to see what the runways are offering. Their designs are generally exaggerated, but you will be able to get a glimpse of what the stores will eventually be carrying. Modified of course, but still pertinent for all of you fashion mavens!
Some of the hi-lights from Trends Jewelry, include “Femininity”, “Pearl Classics”, “Disco”, and “Grunge”. Brooches, especially animal brooches, make a big comeback, as do crosses (I had two customers asking about sterling silver crosses, just yesterday), and huge earrings! Hmm, I wonder where I put those large silver hoops? Natural stones, crystals and good quality rhinestones (Swarovski, of course) are still big, as are choker necklaces, layered with a couple of longer ones. I forget where I saw it, but the layering was quite subtle, with thin chains, and fairly small charms. Certainly not like the ones shown above!
Harpers Bazaar shows huge, asymmetrical, and mis-matched earrings, hoops, and lots of Swarovski type sparkle. Many of the earrings are shoulder dusters, but look lovely on those very young necks! I could definitely rock a smaller version of the hoops (and have, in the past), but perhaps not the ear cuffs and longer earrings. Where the heck would I ever wear all that sparkle?
Purewow.com, shows us another take on Jewelery Trends for 2018! Many of the same ideas, just presented in a different way!
I’ve never had any desire to wear an ankle bracelet, but once the weather warms up, we’ll apparently be seeing them on all of the best ankles! I also read that wide bracelets are supposed to be the next big thing, Wait a minute! Didn’t we have those in the 80s? I wonder where mine went?
It would be fun, to adapt some of these style ideas in a BeadFX, DIY fashion? I wonder if some of the Crazy Bead Ladies, could be persuaded to whip up an “Inspiration” or two for your viewing pleasure?
The Jewelery Trends for 2018 are interesting, fresh and cheeky! Use them as inspiration, for a years worth of new designs. It certainly couldn’t hurt, could it?
