Some might say that my April 2018 bead mat update is a real mess! Not so, but perhaps I should explain!
I’ve been kidnapped by the joy of Stitch Meditations! Thank you Liz Kettle, for enabling me!! I started the project in March, and figured that I could fit them in between my other projects. But they are taking over my world! Why is that? Echoes of my stitching past, seem to be jockeying for space with my beads, and I’m enjoying myself immensely!
Are you interested in joining me in this adventure? If so, I’ll be holding an introductory “Stitch Bits” class on May 17th., at BeadFX. Also, don’t forget to check out the schedule for all of our other exciting May classes (including my “Natures Muse: Bead Embroidered Doll” class). Guess who’s probably going to star in my May bead mat update?
I don’t know how many times I’ve run my “Beading Without A Net: Intuitive Bead Embroidery” class, but I have enjoyed it every single time! Nasty weather certainly lowered the numbers, but it was fun just the same. As you can see from the photo, I didn’t really get much done on my personal project! I started to bezel my agate slice, but then I stalled (too much talking, I guess)!!! The poor thing is still in that same state, and I have no idea when I’ll be able to get back to it!
I did manage to work on my latest free form peyote bracelet, and I think that it’s stitching up nicely. It’s almost ready for a clasp, but as I think that I’ll bead embroider a button for that, it might take a little longer.
But where in your April 2018 bead mat update, do you mention “Inspirations” you say? I have handed one in to the powers that be, but I’m not sure when it will make it onto the blog. As you can see from this photo, the leftovers are patiently waiting on the bead mat. What’s that? Could that be a bracelet in the making, you say? Perhaps yes, and perhaps no!
The last item on my April 2018 bead mat update, is another stitched rock. Not finished, and no beading yet, but it’s coming! Do you feel a series coming on? I do! By the way, they’re a great place to stick your needles, while waiting for the muse to speak!
When life gets hectic, it’s time to slow down and consider your options! I think that I may need to meditate on that!
