Hammer, stitch, saw, weave, bend, torch, knot, punch, fold, wrap – it sounds like something out of an action movie! The real action is happening in our Fall class line-up and the wonderful projects that you’ll be enjoying with our imaginative and enthusiastic instructors. Preview the action at our upcoming 5th Annual Back to Class Open House!
Date: Saturday, September 8

Where: Throughout BeadFX!
To celebrate our 5th annual event, when you register for a class during the event, you will be automatically entered into a draw for a $50 Gift Certificate – one ballot for each class you register for! 2 classes = 2 ballots; 3 classes = 3 ballots; and so on! There will be prizes awarded throughout the day as well.
What’s new this Fall? How about two new metalwork instructors! Liz Kennedy and Daria Radic are both experienced metalworkers and each bring their own style. Liz, a member of the Toronto Bead Society and former teacher, is a life-long learner and loves lots of texture in her pieces. Darija is a graduate of the jewellery program at George Brown and describes her work as ‘elegant but edgy’.
Many new projects are debuting this Fall including a new Tambour embroidery Cardinal applique with Catherine Sequalino Poitier. Pamela Kearns’ enjoyment of weaving has created a new bracelet project that combines weft-faced tapestry and bead weaving. If chainmaille is your ‘thing’, both Marilyn Gardiner and Gillian Clarke have projects you will love! Anne Marie Desaulniers continues to combine fibre and beads for stitching reminiscent of Impressionist paintings. Lucie Lee will continue to wow you with her stunning wirework projects! This is just the ‘tip of the iceberg’ – there are so many more projects that are scheduled from each of our instructors!
Mark your calendars now and plan on joining us for this FREE event. Invite a friend along – who knows – you may be introducing someone to a whole new world of creativity!
