What would you like to learn?

Our late-January classes wrap up 2019’s first month of the year. February is just around the corner with lots more classes, but it all begs the question, ‘What do you want to learn?’ Is BeadFX offering what you’re interested in? Your feedback on our classes is greatly appreciated and if there is something bead-related, or a wire working, metal working, or a lampwork technique you want to learn but haven’t seen us offer, please tell us about it. You can put your suggestion in the comments or email me at pam@beadfx.com. In the meantime, please come and enjoy a class or …

Back on the Chain, Gang

More surprises that come from cleaning up … we had a bunch of these a while back, sold it all out – well apparently – we had more and I missed it. So, you get a second chance. Some folks call it rosary chain, but you can use it for much more than that. It looks great for layering … make a bunch of chains at various lengths, and then stack with other pieces to get yourself the layered, multi look. And – there are bigger varieties too – bigger stones, more chain. One stone and a segment of chain …

Wire Dreams: To support us!

What do you think of, when I say “wire dreams”? No, I don’t mean that really, really comfortable underwire bra!! But what else? When I think wire dreams, I’m considering one of the main supporting characters, in jewelery design. Of course, as a mixed-up media artist, I’ve been known to use my wire in unconventional ways, but I do still use it conventionally as well. What are head pins and eye pins made of? Wire of course! Don’t you think that making the perfect wrapped or simple loop is what dreams are really made of? Where would our earrings be, …

Fulfilling Your Resolution to Learn

We made it into a brand New Year! It’s nice to get back to a regular schedule, although let’s face it – we need to break out once in a while – right? Do you set resolutions? I prefer to set positive resolutions, rather than focus on what I shouldn’t be doing. My 2019 resolution is to learn more wirework and metalwork. I’ve been eyeing a number of classes that will keep me busy. Come and join me – there are lots of classes to choose from! I hope you were able to join us for this past weekend’s Meet …

And … we’re back …

New Year, new stuff Butter Jasper, and the Benefits of Making As some of you know, I spent most of the Christmas “break,” and I use that term loosely, working with my significant other to transform my office space from butt-ugly to … well, normal looking. Tearing down the grotesque spiky spackle ceiling, the gawdawful 60’s paneling, putting up drywall and – o.m.g. INSULATION, (because there.wasn’t.any!) and a suspended ceiling. One third of it is done, and I have moved down the room to the finished part, and now the rest needs to be done. Only one day of computer …

Ring in 2019: Let creativity reign!

Let’s ring in 2019 in a forward-looking fashion! 2018 was a good year, but 2019 promises to be a real stunner!!! Goals? Did someone mention goals? Well, as I’ve stated before, I’m not really one to make formal goals at the beginning of the year, nor am I one to actually write them down! That doesn’t mean that I don’t make plans, and target things that I would like to do during the year!!! My plans are always broad, and sometimes a little airy fairy!!!! I spent so much time evaluating staff in my corporate life, that I could write …
