We’d give you the stars and the moon and the sun – but we have Nunn.
Nunn Designs that is! Are you a fan of the lovely creations of Nunn Designs? We are – and especially our mixed-media-fiend Anne Marie, who is little bit like that kid that is always, “Mommy, mommy – can we get some of these?” Good thing she has good taste! So we have new shapes in bezels, for those of you who like to resin-ate.
Fingernail Earring Findings – if you haven’t seen these, you might be a bit confused. They are designed to hold big earrings, and I mean BIG, like big bead-embroidery earrings. They are also very secure, so excellent for dancers and skaters. They are adjustable for pressure to make them more comfortable. The solid flat pad goes next to the earring part, the post through the hole in your ear, and the loop hinges up to the back of your ear to keep it all in place. If you have an embroidery piece, make a little slit in the backing material and slide the earring finding through before securing. If you have a large earring like a shell or cabochon, glue the pad to the item. To adjust the tightness (against the lobe of your ear) gently bend the piece between the pad and the hinge (see illustration) to open the gap for your ear. We have them in both Rhodium and Gold Plated. More pics of how to use them are here.
Purr like an Egyptian, new cat beads, because who doesn’t need more cat beads?
How about a cat pendant then?
If not a cat, then a paw, or eagle, or tree? These are large, but light. Conceivably, you could make earrings even. You could enjoy their natural beauty as is, or colour with oil-based marker pens, or we’ve even thought that you might be able to fill with resin – although we’re not sure if it would absorb into the wood.
We really do have a fairly springy, nature theme going this week.
Some lovely glass Hibiscus flowers
And some cut 6/0 rocailles as accents
There’s lots of pretty glass beads this week, and you can Review them all here, with all the other new stuff!
