InspirationFX: Brandy Meet Onyx, Onyx Meet Brandy

Brandy Meet Onyx, Onyx Meet Brandy Designed By: Rochelle Kilmer Ohh these little onyx and gold links are so sweet. I had them hanging around on my desk not long after they went live. I just couldn’t decide if they were going to be earrings, or a necklace or a bracelet!! There are soo many options with these pre-done links. Then it struck me. I need to introduce Onyx to Brandy, Crystal Brandy to you. Brandy slid onto an eyepin and I used the 1-Step Looper to close up the other loop. But before I completely closed the loop, Onyx …

InspirationFX: Easy Charm

Get your creative juices flowing~~~ Easy Charm Designed by: Dwyn Tomlinson Easy and charming – just the thing for making a very personal gift for someone in not too much time. People appreciate the time and the thought and energy that goes into a gift versus a store bought gift, and the more mature they are, the more they appreciate it. (Which is to say – the kiddies probably still want video games and gift cards.) While this is similar to Anne Marie’s ‘Say It Like It Is’ bracelet, it is just a little different, and you can steal ideas …

InspirationFX: Greener Pastures

Snow is melting, and a warm breeze blows through the fields. Spring begins approaching as the grass reaches towards the warm sun rays. Green beads dangle, calling to you to follow. The simply strung bracelet is a sweet treat if you choose.   Pendant: On a headpin, stack – Bead Cap, Green Asteroid Bead,Bead Cap …

How beads are made

check out this video – just over 12 minutes – sound not required – of bead production in India. (presumably). Ignore the subtitles, in most cases they seem to suffer from translation issues. (i.e. they are NOT making Swarovski beads!) Of particular interest is the cutting of hollow rods into seedbeads and small beads, the faceting of beads, and the machine for coating (not dyeing – again – translation issues.) Definitely worth the watch. The employees don’t look too happy though. But you might never drop a bead and fail to pick it up again.
