Course outline: Check your frustrations at the door! Led by instructor Bonni Poch, we will start from the very beginning with super large beads and work slowly to give you the basics needed to create a bead crocheted bangle. You will learn everything from how to load the beads, how to make patterns, and how to get past the first four rows of terror, to how to end your piece and seamlessly attach the ends to make a super strong, super beautiful bangle.

By the end of this session, you will have the skills needed to take the second class, which will be offered in the afternoon on the same day. The second class will look at how to end your bracelet with a seamless join, how to join two ropes into one lanyard, and how to make a bezel using a bead crocheted rope. You’re also free to continue working on any project in progress. This is a great opportunity to get guidance on patterns, techniques, troubleshooting, or any other bead crochet-related question. Note: a kit is required, see below.

Bonus: Take this class on its own for $35 or pair it with Bead Crochet: The Basics and Beyond! Part 2, offered on the same day for $60. That’s a $10 savings!

Skill level: Beginner

Prerequisite: N/A

Technique: Bead crochet

Bring to class: Please bring an open mind, as well as size 8/0 or 6/0 seed beads in your choice of colours. We will be building a bracelet for you to wear home! I recommend 3 colours, for a nice pattern. You can use your 15% Student Discount to purchase your supplies.

Of special note: the class patterns and instructions from our classes are for your personal use only. Please respect the intellectual property of our artists/instructors by not sharing, selling, or teaching the patterns you receive from the classes you take.
