Course outline: Discover how to create a versatile ‘bird’ element which can be used as a necklace or bracelet. Students will have a chance to work with sterling silver wire or copper (please specify the choice when registering). You’ll create lots of spirals in this design, learn how to finish the end of the spiral and give a final finishing touch by hammering portions of the wire. You’ll also give some definition and colour by oxidizing the wire in class and polishing.
