Making a Bee Line

March 10, 2018 @ 9:30 am - 1:30 pm

Cdn $45.00 +Kit fee: $25, payable to the instructor the day of the class.

Course outline: A playful interpretation of a bees journey to his sweet spot. You will learn to create with wire, bee-inspired connectors and looped bead components to form a bee-line. You will zig-zag your way, much like a bee to nectar, toward the focal bead. Finishing includes a refresher on some fundamentals of wire work, such as wire loop formation (simple eye-pin), straightening wire, coiling, and tips on working with wire.

Skill level: Beginner/Intermediate

Prerequisite: Some experience working with wire will be beneficial to the student. All skill levels will enjoy learning to use the wrap & tap pliers by Eurotool.

Technique: Wirework

Bring to class: Student should bring a Sharpie and magnification as required. Students may use the in-class tools available to them. We will be using 2-pair of flat nose pliers, round nose pliers, nylon jaw flat pliers, flush cutters and specialized pliers: small wrap & tap pliers by Eurotool.

Of special note: the class patterns and instructions from our classes are for your personal use only. Please respect the intellectual property of our artists/instructors by not sharing, selling, or teaching the patterns you receive from the classes you take.
