Polymer Clay Pendant

January 28 @ 12:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Cdn $65.00 +Kit fee: $12, payable to the instructor the day of the class.

Course outline: Learn how to work with polymer clay with artist Barbara Colautti. Students will choose colours, shapes, and styles of their pendant and, at the end of the class, will have a one-of-a-kind piece of wearable art. Using textures, powders, paints, rub-ons, molds, and cutters, we’ll explore what can be done for an individual effect. Note: a kit is required; see details below.

Skill level: Beginner to Intermediate

Prerequisite: None, although a familiarity with clay would be helpful.

Technique: Polymer clay; texturing, adding colour; cutting shapes

Bring to class: A medium-sized artist’s paintbrush (something nice and fluffy!) and a medium-sized (approx. 6″ x 8″) ceramic or glass tile as a work surface (a small glass cutting board from a dollar store works very well). As this class goes over the lunch period, you may wish to bring your lunch; coffee and cold drinks will be available.

Of special note: the class patterns and instructions from our classes are for your personal use only. Please respect the intellectual property of our artists/instructors by not sharing, selling, or teaching the patterns you receive from the classes you take.
