Slinky Roundmaille Bracelet – Chainmaille in a tube

August 29 @ 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Cdn $40.00 +Kit fee: $15, payable to the instructor the day of the class.

roundmaille-bracelets-700wCourse outline: You will love this super-soft and slinky bracelet! It drapes fluidly, is very comfortable to wear and always gets compliments. Roundmaille is European 4-in-1 chainmaille in tubular form. It is surprisingly sensitive to ring size, and we will be using my absolute favourite. You will learn two different ways to make it in this class led by instructor Gillian Clarke.

We will use anodized aluminum jump rings in your choice of colours. The kit contains materials to make one bracelet; extra kits will be available.

Skill level: Intermediate

Prerequisite: Familiarity with basic chainmaille techniques. You must be comfortable opening and closing jumprings properly with good closures; this project uses a lot of rings. We will be using small rings so manual dexterity and good eyesight (or visual aids) will be required. Otherwise this project is not very complicated and does not require any special techniques.

Technique: Chainmaille

Bring to class: If you have your own pair of flat nosed pliers please bring them, but tools will also be available in class. Bring magnification if you need it.
