Three Intermediate Kumihimo Braids

March 30 @ 9:30 am - 12:30 pm

Cdn $46.00 +Kit fee: $15 + HST, payable to the instructor the day of the class.

Course outline: Angela Peace will take you beyond the 8 strand spiral braid and you’ll learn three new distinct Kumihimo braids. The class includes a box braid, a waves braid and an S-Z reversing spiral braid all made with micro-thread warps. These threads mimic traditional braiding silk and have a luxurious feel. As with other braids, these new braids can easily be used in the future with fibres of your choice.

Skill level: Intermediate

Prerequisite: Must know how to braid an 8 strand spiral braid using a Kumihimo disc.

Technique: Kumihimo

Bring to class: kumihimo disc (6inch size) please ensure that the disc notches are not over stretched; 8 no-tangle bobbins; small scissors; magnification if required.

Of special note: the class patterns and instructions from our classes are for your personal use only. Please respect the intellectual property of our artists/instructors by not sharing, selling, or teaching the patterns you receive from the classes you take.
