Treasure Boxes: mixed media boxes with a beaded flair

August 19 @ 10:00 am - 5:00 pm

Cdn $65.00 +Kit fee: $30, payable to the instructor the day of the class.

Course outline: Would you like to make a special little box to cradle your treasures? Are you interested in fibre, but just dont have the time, inclination, or equipment to sew? Do you need a place to corral your unruly, earrings and rings? Perhaps, you just like boxes, the smaller the better! The focus of this workshop with Anne Marie Desaulniers is to make a small, embellished, mixed media box, out of pre-prepared, collaged and stitched fabric backgrounds. Instructions will be provided, to show you to make your own backgrounds, after you leave the workshop. Demonstrations of hand and bead embroidery stitches will be given. A selection of colours will be available.

Students should be prepared to laugh, relax and have fun! Think of it as a play date for adults!

Trading and sharing will be strongly encouraged! Your neighbour just might have the perfect finishing touch for your piece. The reverse is also true.
