Toronto Knitters Guild

toronto-knitters-guild-image-300wThe Toronto Knitters Guild meets monthly on the third Wednesday of the month from September to June. The members are inter-generational, come from a wide variety of backgrounds and bring a range of knitting skills from novice to master knitter. Love of knitting and fibre art draws people to a guild that advances the art and community of knitting, but the benefits reach far beyond.

Location: Innis Town Hall; University of Toronto, 2 Sussex Avenue, at St. George Street

Meetings are lively and usually feature a special speaker. There is a raffle for yarn, books, and other goodies donated by local stores and distributors, with proceeds towards guild activities. Dr. Knit (aka Denise Powell) is available before meetings to help untangle your knitting problems. On occasion, vendors set up tables and offer yarns, books, patterns, and kits.
