Leather & Rocks.

First off – I know that leather is not everybody’s “thing.” I know that some of you are so not comfortable with leather. That’s ok. But I have to say, if I had to name my top five favourite scents in the world – the smell of leather is going to be on that list. Frying bacon, fresh cut grass, wild roses, warm horses, lavendar, and lilac would also be duking it out for top spots on the list. And this is that kind of leather – 1 meter strips of super-intensely coloured, sueded-on-the-back, buttery-soft, luxurious leather lacing. In a …

InspirationFX: Twinsie at the Beach

Twinsie at the Beach Designed by: Rochelle Kilmer My bestfriend and I love turtles! We love the water, the sand, the shells, and everything else that goes with it. So these bracelets really capture our common interests and loves. To Begin: Lay out your strip of leather. I decided to go with a wavy pattern – but you could choose any design you like. Just don’t make your ends too small – in width – because you want them to fit comfortably into the clasp. I drew my outline on the back of the leather – the non-smooth side – …

I danced about the store, trying this and rejecting that, until I was satisfied with my choices. Simplicity was the key, so I chose a very earthy, and harmonious palette. Sexy, but understated, with a little metallic leather thrown in, to spice it …
