What’s on my bead mat – January/17 edition?

As I write this, I realize that it’s been a strange type of January day! We started with snow, but ended up with above freezing temperatures and rain. Who knows what tomorrow will bring? For today, I think that I will finish off writing this post, pour myself a cup of tea, and then sit down and stitch for a while. I seem to be all over the place! Are you surprised? Iris was in on the weekend teaching her soldering class – Hot connections 2 – rings and chain.  Here are a few of her students showing off their new creations – and just look at those smiles! Knowing how to solder can take your beading design to a whole new level – and you don’t necessarily need as much equipment as you might think. Ultra low tech patinas

Just in case you missed the inspiration I posted last night – you can see it here. I mentioned that my plan was to paint the filigree with acrylic paint to give it a washed shabby chic kind of look.
