February 2018 Bead Mat Update: A technique extravaganza!

A beaded surprise! Plus other whimsies.

What better way to resolve a gift giving dilemma, than completing a beaded surprise? I drew our fearless leader’s name, for our annual Secret Santa exchange! Yikes! What do you buy for a person who owns a bead store? It’s problem solving time, but then again, it’s an awful lot of fun!!! The $ limit is low, but we are encouraged make a handmade little something! Colour your Art!

I’ve never really been a trend follower, but sometimes it’s interesting to see what the runway gods predict that we will be wearing in the coming seasons (colours, styles, etc.). It always seems to be open to interpretation. After all, we are artists in our own right, and as such originals, so there is no real need to blindly follow the masses! Perhaps I should soften that approach! When I Googled jewellery trends for 2017, it gave me both fall/winter 2016, and spring 2017.
