We are a bunch o' crazy ladies (and a couple of bemused male relatives) — crazy about beads. We buy 'em, sell 'em, make 'em. We think, eat, sleep, talk beads. We look for beads everywhere. We go on vacation and look for beads, we cruise the internet looking for beads. We nag our supplies about quality, variety, cost. We know that WE want to buy the best beads at the best prices, and we know you want to as well!

What can we do for you? We provide beads (and findings and other stuff) so that you can make beautiful jewelry. Make jewelry for yourself at a fraction of the cost of retail. Make lovely, thoughtful gifts. Make it for sale. Make it as an heirloom or for tonight's party! Make it as personal statement. Don't know how? We've got you covered there too. We have classes and kits.

We do have a store — you can come in and buy beads — even stay and have a coffee and assemble your creations if you want! As well, we are this online site — so you can shop in your pajamas! We are open to the public. We offer a discount to businesses, and we have a "Frequent Beader Program."

Handmade Lampwork Beads

We have an in-house bead studio where we handmake lampwork beads. These one of a kind artist beads are the perfect inspiration to get you started on your dream project! We have a large selection instore, and some of our staff also sell on etsy.com (If purchasing on etsy and beadfx at the same time, convo to have the shipping reversed on your etsy purchase). We also have classes if you want to learn to make your own!

Art Clay Silver

We are the Canadian source for Art Clay Silver brand metal clay. Metal clay is a pure metal power, in a water-based clay form. Mold it, model it, sculpt it, and then fire it into pure silver. Cool, eh?

Classes & Instruction

We offer a wide-range of classes, (from glass beadmaking to Art Clay Silver to basic Jewelry making) and we are constantly looking for new classes and instructors? Got a special request? Have something that you teach? Let us know! We also offer private, one-on-one classes for specific items you'd like to learn!

Custom Design Lampwork

Got a specific design or colour combination in mind? Contact us and we'll try to help!

Custom orders

Looking for a specific type or size of bead that we don't carry? Email or call and we will see if we can get it in especially for you.

Large Quantities

Need a large quantity of a specific bead, but can't meet the wholesalers' requirements? Talk to us and we'll see what we can do.

Glass Studio

We offer classes and studio rental. Taken a lampworking class or looking to make glass beads? Can't convince your family that a torch in the living room is a good idea? Come work with us. Qualified lampworkers on the premises 99.9% of the time, so you can most always get help. We provide use of a Minor bench burner (natural gas and oxygen), basic tools, didymium safety glasses, pre-dipped mandrels and kiln time. Glass and other supplies are available for purchase or bring your own.

We are primarily a retail store, but we do offer a discount for businesses, and we can special order by request. The business discount is 20%. In order to set you up with your business discount, we would need to see proof of business documentation (business licence/tax exemption forms) You can fax these to 416.701.9182 along with your name and email address or email scans to us at info@beadfx.com. Our Location

We are located in Scarborough at 128 Manville Road, Suite #9 -- in the Warden and Eglinton area.

Driving - From the West, East or North of Toronto, Ontario,

• take the 401 to Warden, (Warden is 2 exits east of the Don Valley Parkway/404, and west of Kennedy)
• go south on Warden
• to Eglinton (you will see the water tower) near the corner.
• cross Eglinton and take the first left (east), which is Civic Street -- it is a hard left, right after the traffic island.
• proceed east and take the first right (south), which is Manville. We are not far, 128 Manville, on the right (west) side, just south of where the road curves and "Andy's Meat Terminal." We are in an industrial area because of the glass studio, but we have free parking.

From downtown Toronto.

• Take the Don Valley Parkway north to Eglinton
• go east on Eglinton
• to Warden (you will see the water tower to your right near the corner)
• Turn right (south) at Warden and
• turn immediately left (you need to change lanes right away) on to Civic
• go east to first right, Manville
• South on Manville, We are not far, 128 Manville, on the right (west) side, just south of the curve in the road. We are in an industrial area because of the glass studio, but we have free parking.

US Visitors. We are part of the Greater Toronto area in Southern Ontario, Canada. We are about a 2.5 - 3 hour drive from Buffalo. Take the Queen Elizabeth Highway to Toronto, then take the 401 and follow the instructions for "Driving from East, West or North" above.

Wheelchair Access

Our store is all on one level and features aisles wide enough for a wheelchair or walker. There is a ramp up the single step sidewalk, but sometimes our neighbor parks on it, so if you need the ramp cleared - just call us ahead of time and we'll walk down and tell them to move their car. ;-)

Customer Satisfaction Policy

Our customer satisfaction policy is simple — Satisfaction Guaranteed. We want you to be happy and we'll do what it takes to make you happy. If you're not satisfied with your purchase for any reason, you may return it for a full refund within 30 days. As long as it's in it's original condition of course! You can shop with confidence! We try to scan our products as clearly as possible, but what you see will largely depend on your screen resolution, monitor, and graphics card. We will try to resolve any discrepancies as quickly as possible. If you find a problem with your shipment please let us know as quickly as possible.

We make every effort to fill orders correctly and promptly. Sometimes our shopping cart gets out of sync with our actual inventory. We like to contact you and ask if you would care to substitute or back order that item. In order to do this, please ensure that you give us a valid email address that you actually check email at, or a daytime phone number, so that we can communicate promptly.

Should we be out of an item, and we do not have an acceptable substitute or you do not care to wait, we will cheerfully refund your missing item!

Occasionally, if we expect to receive an item within 2 weeks, we will ship it separately at no extra charge. If this is not acceptable, please let us know and we will do our best to satisfy you.

We sell quality glass beads and findings to enthusiastic amateurs and discerning professionals. We love beads & jewellery and we use what we sell! There is no order minimum, but we do offer free shipping if your order is over $100 Canadian.

We are also lampwork/flamework enthusiasts — we make beads, we sell them, we teach, we sell supplies.
