Square stitch bracelet

by: Jennifer Tough

Many years ago now...I think 6? One of the bead mags came out with a simple project that used mainly 4mm miyuki cubes, and they were stitched in sections. That's about all that I remember of the bracelet, other than they were wildly popular to make at the store. That bracelet inspired this one.

I've added freshwater pearls and Swarovski crystals. All square stitched with the exception of the pearl/swarovski stations. These are free strung. I've also added a little picot edge on each side.  The button closure here is an Art Clay Silver button, but any button or clasp will do!

Square stitch is one of the easiest to learn. If you do a google search for 'square stitch instructions', I'm sure a bunch of handy links will pop up. Square stitch is also usually included in the basics stitching section of Bead and Button, and Beadwork magazines.
