Does this qualify as chain mail? Not sure - but it is quick and easy to do. You definitely need two pairs of pliers, as these jumprings are a little too stiff for opening with fingers!

Remember - always open jumprings by twisting - not pulling open.

The brushed silver "cheerios" are joined by two jumprings, because you can't get two cheerios in a jumpring.

The chain on the side is made by linking jumprings. The Cheerios on the side are linked with 4 or 5 jumprings - the two cheerios closest to the centre decoration are 4 jumprings, after that, I changed to 5, as I was worried about running out of cheerios. The length is adjustable - this is overall 19 inches - but could be worn as short as 16 in.
