This month's birthstone project comes to us from Lee. Lee's projects are always a surprise - your first impression of her is a no-nonsense practical sort of person who takes no guff from anyone - and then she makes these lovely, dainty, delicate pieces that impress the heck out of you.

July's birthstone is Ruby. Ruby has always been considered a wonderfully powerful and special stone because of the colour and all the associations with the colour red that we have made over the millennia - red being the colour of blood - that mysterious stuff that, if it leaks out - we die. Very primal, red is. ;-) Ruby is associated with devotion, courage, integrity, happiness, confidence, strength, ever-lasting love, power, and protection from evil.

This bracelet has a tiny amount of stretch - due to the design - so the size is flexible. It is 6.5 to 7.5 inches long and would fit most wrists.
