Ever since I started making lampwork beads, and even before, a set of coordinated spacers has been a happy thing. That was long before I could easily MAKE a set of coordinated spacers, I might add - these deceptively simple beads are a challenge to the beginning lampworker to make well and make consistently.

However, the skill does come eventually - practice, practice, practice - and then you want to show them off. I like to display them in a way that lets the beads speak for themselves. A complimentary chain and accent beads highlights these beads and lets them shine.

If you don't happen to be a lampworker - well - you could take a class! ;-) Or come into the store - we have a selection of one-of-a-kind lampwork beads and spacers - you can build your own set! You could even commission a set in your favorite colours. Or you can purchase them online - make sure you get them made on a 3/32 inch mandrel. The 1/16 is too small a hole for most chains. The beads I used range from 13 to 17 mm in diameter and from 9 - 10 mm across.

Alternate them with large hole spacers. I have listed the ones I used - but our page of lampwork bead accessories has a selection of spacers expressly designed to work with the larger hole beads. ;-)
