Here's something smooooth and creamy with a hint of sweet, sweet maple.

This uses a blend of fresh water pearls and Swarovski pearls. The two are so beautifully coordinated, that you really don't see them as being different. The creamy pearls look fabulous with the Smokey Topaz and the Mocca crystals. I'm really pleasantly surprised by finding this colour combo.

The necklace is strung in two segments - because of the asymmetrical design. One segment is about 6.5 inches long - the other is about 14 inches.  The overall length is about 24 inches.

Each segment is constructed the same way. Pass the thread through the twisted closed jumpring and knot securely. String enough of the 6 mm Swa. pearls for the segment you are making. This is your base line. 

Add another closed jumpring, and thread back through a pearl (or about 4 for the clasp end). Then add a few more pearls, and crystals, concentrating on the stick pearls, zigzag pearls and the crystal rounds. Add about 3 assorted beads, and skipping a pearl on the base line and going through the pearl after.

Continue like this - you can add more beads to the loops, vary the order, skip two on the base line. Mix it up for a more random effect. Work to the end, and then turn around and work back - doing a total of at least three passes for fullness. The Swa. pearls have larger holes than real pearls - you wouldn't be able to pull this off with natural pearls for the base line.

Wire a crystal into the center of the multi-square side focal piece and assemble this segment - using pliers to squish the posts on the locking rings - so that they are permanently closed. Attach to the closed rings on the necklace - using another locking ring. Add the clasp to the ends with a jump ring.

Easy peasy!

I added a fourth line of beads to the middle third - as I had lots left over and it looks fuller that way!
