I'm still having fun with the Apoxie clay and the Swarovski crystal letters! These may be "V's" - but I like the way they fit together into a star shape!

1. Glove up and mix up a ball of the Apoxie clay - about the size of a walnut. Press into the bezel finding and smooth out. Change gloves after mixing the clay and before holding the bezel finding - otherwise, you will get fingerprints on the metal.
   
2. Pick up the letters with tweezers and position them. Put them on the clay lightly at first, until you think you have the spacing right - then press them into position. I just line them up by eye - no fancy measuring.
3. Add the Vintage Swarovski in the middle - doesn't it go beautifully with the blue Apoxie? Press it in deeply - and recheck all the V's to make sure they are firmly and deeply set.
   
4. You can smooth the surface of the clay with a little water on the end of a q-tip. Make sure not to leave the surface of the stones wet though.
   
5. Clean up the metal and check for smudges and fingerprints.
6. Leave to cure overnight.
