This handsome "torsade" - twisted necklace - evokes memories, stone beaches, coppery pearls, inky jet chips - it all reminds me of ... something - just on the tip of my tongue ... .

The key to keeping the twisted strands is to secure them in the twist. Label or memorized the order of the strands, i.e., lay them out as "pearls, chips, stones," and then twist the three strands tightly. (Remember - this will make the strands shorter - so allow for that when picking your length.) When you get to the end, you need to make sure that the three strands are not in the same order, so now they might be "chips, pearls, stones." It's this crossing over that helps to hold the shape.

Conceal the ends of the strands inside the large end cups, and run a wire through to catch and hold the strands. Then add a bead and wire wrap it to make a nice connector. A link of beads with a wrap on each side keeps the back of the necklace light and tidy.
