Summer and Spiceby: Malliga Nathan
... and everything nice! And everything in this two-strand necklace is nice, but together, they are one yummy whole piece with a spicy flair.
First strand: Approx. 16.5 inches
- String on 7 brass rounds
- 1 Mahogany Window Bead, 3 brass rounds(do this 5 MORE times)
- 3 Mahogany Window Beads, 1 CornerlessCube Bead (Do this 9 MORE times)
- Then string on 3 Mahogany Window Beads,3 brass rounds.
- 1 Mahogany Window Bead, 3 brass rounds(do this 4 MORE times)
- 1 Mahogany Window Bead, 7 brass rounds.
- Finish off both ends with wireguardians and crimps.
Strand 2: Approx. 17.5 inches
- First place 1 Ant. Brass round bead(4mm) onto a headpin and then 1 donut bead, make a plain loop.
- Then cut the flat head end off ofanother headpin, make a wrapped loop on one end, place the Pairedflower square bead on the pin and finish with another wrapped loop,but before finishing the wrap cut 2 pcs of 6 links of the chain andattach 1 end of each piece onto the loop then finish the wrap.
- Then open the loop of the headpin withthe donut on it and attach to one wrapped loop end of the squarebead.
- Attach 1 jumpring to the opposite endsof the chain.
- Attach 1 jumpring to each leaf charm.
- String the following onto a new lengthof beading wire:
- 12 brass rounds
- 1 Donut, 2 brass rounds (Repeat thispattern 6 MORE times)
- 1 brass round, 1 leaf charm (throughthe jumpring) , 1 brass round, 1 Donut, (Repeat 2 MORE times)
- 1 brass round, 1 end of the chain(through the jumpring you attached earlier), 1 brass round, 1 donut,
- 2 brass rounds, 1 bead cap, 1 LargeBlue donut, 1 Bead cap, 2 brass rounds, 1 donut
- 1 brass round, the other end of thechain (through the jumpring you attached earlier)(make sure the chainis not twisted), 1 brass round, 1 donut.
- 1 brass round, 1 leaf charm (throughthe jumpring) , 1 brass round, 1 Donut, (Repeat 2 MORE times)
- 2 brass rounds, 1 donut (Repeat 6 MOREtimes)
- 12 Brass rounds.
- Make sure that the leaves are allfacing the right direction (see picture)
- Finish off both ends with wireguardians and crimps.
Try not to crimp the strands tootightly, in order to give the necklace some flexability.
Finishing:
Attach the 2 strands together on eachend using the jumprings, then attach a extender chain to one end andthe lobster claw clap to the other end using another jumpring.
Voila! You are finished! Enjoy!
